Farm Fresh Broccoli


I never thought I’d be so excited about broccoli, but I couldn’t wait to use this tender bundle when we picked it up at our local farm today!


It drives me nuts to buy broccoli at the grocery store that is battered and tough. This broccoli from our CSA (community supported agriculture) was so fresh, sweet and useable from stalk to floret! Tonight we had Sarah Fragoso’s Scrumptious Seafood Chowder (from Everyday Paleo Family Cookbook) by the request of my family. I love to add steamed broccoli to our bowls of this chowder as it compliments very well, so it was a great opportunity to take advantage of our new produce.



The only downside is that it’s always so tasty that we all overeat! 🙂
