I’m always looking for ways to reduce plastic in our home! Plastic IS convenient, BUT the environmental effects pain me. So, when I came across Bee’s Wrap – Sustainable Food Storage (handmade in Vermont), I had to give it a try!
Made from organic cotton muslin, beeswax (from sustainable hives), jojoba oil and tree resin, this food safe wrap uses the heat from your hands to mold around fruit, veggies, cheese, bread (paleo of course;-)), or to cover a bowl in the place of plastic wrap.
And caring for Bee’s Wrap is easy peasy! Give it a quick HAND-WASH in cool water with a dollop of dish soap and hang to dry (or stand up in your dish rack). Then fold and store and you should be able to reuse your food wraps for up to a year. (Note: Bee’s Wrap is NOT recommended for meat).
So, the next time you have 1/2 a lemon or 1/2 a cabbage to wrap, consider trying Bee’s Wrap.
