Do you struggle to feed your kids on the go – especially as they grow and become more involved with activities and sports? It always a challenge in our house as I try, try, try to fuel them with real food and a balance of nutrients that can help them thrive and reach peak performance.
As our “littles” transition from basketball season to baseball season, I thought I’d share a quick post on some of the packaged items we keep on hand that they can put in their sport bags for easy, primal diet friendly fueling.
I always put together a cooler of fresh foods as well, especially for the long days of baseball double-headers, as I’ve shared on Instagram (@primalpeak) in the past. But, here you can see what is currently in our fridge and pantry for grab ‘n go snacks.
In our PANTRY:
- Tanka Bites: buffalo jerky with dried cranberries
- Joel’s Traditional grass-fed beef jerky
- Epic Bites: they come in a variety of meats
- Wild Zora: meat and veggie bars
- Epic Performance Bars
- RX Bars
- SeaSnax Original
- Veggie Go’s: real fruit and veggie dried leather
In our FRIDGE: (only because the boys prefer them cold, but none of these need to be kept in the refrigerator)
- GoGo SqueeZ
- Noka Superfood Blend pouches
- RX Nut Butter packets
- Justin’s Almond Butter packets
- MammaChia squeezes
Again, these are products currently on our shelves. Others tag along here and there, but I’m hoping this gives you parents out there a few ideas for quick snacks with decent ingredients that your kids can keep in their gym bags. Whether you need snacks before a soccer game, swim practice, or gymnastics meet, make sure your young athletes have the fuel they need to have fun and permorm their best.
